“Never allow waiting to become a habit. Live your dreams and take risks. Life is happening now.”
As my first article on here, I decided what better way to kick off a blog than to tell the story about what got me here in the first place. This way, anyone can know me on a somewhat personal level and hopefully connect or relate. I’m 22 years old and for a 22 year old young lady, I’ve done a lot more thinking about my career than the average 22 year old would like to do! Not complaining that’s for sure! So I have to be honest, art and/or design have never left my mind. But where I come from, it’s not the most popular jobs or career paths out there but I like to think that it’s a good thing. It’s quite cool I must say. So being a teenager trying to figure out what I want the rest of my life to look like (talk about pressure, right?), I realized I loved architecture and all things around it but I never paid attention to that and I think I must’ve told myself that since it’s not a very popular job in my entourage, I should probably do something more common.
It wasn’t until my parents told me last summer that they wanted to re-do the house and were looking for a plan. It was as natural as it could be when I sat them down, asked them about what they were looking for and instantly started making a plan. My head was just filled with ideas, I found myself looking for more inspiration, grabing magazines and reading blogs all about interior design. It litteraly brought me to life. To see how excited I was to plan and design our own house, the passion I felt for that was so strong that I realized that was the joy I wanted to feel for the rest of my life. I always kind of promised myself to only do what makes me happy and not get caught in what I am “supposed” to do.
So here I am, until I can get my marketing degree and start interior design school, I am starting an interior design blog because first I didn’t wanna wait when I have such strong love for this and I also wanted to be able to live my passion everyday and having a blog will help me share that with other people and maybe inspire some. The joy of being around an interior design community is pretty amazing and it’s always good to surround yourself with like-minded people. And since art has no boundaries, the internet sounded like a good idea to reach out to every person I can around the world.
I hope that through this blog, you will be able to explore interior design through different cultures and I would be able to learn even more about it through communicating and writing on this blog. I am so excited to begin this journey and share it with more people as I go.
I hope you feel as inspired as I do.
Lots of love,
