Last time I was checking colors to paint the walls at my house, I was trying to find some greens or blue-ish colors because I just think they look so refreshing and I found this beautiful color called “Bleu Canard” in french which is litterally translated into “Duck Blue”.
First of all, can we talk about the name! I love it and I never heard of it before to be honest. I find it to be a very interesting color with green undertones. And of course like any other color, you can choose the strong and dark version just as you can lighten it up.
Of course, the furniture is the easiest way to incorporate a colour into your space because I feel like it has the least amount of commitment compared to painting the walls. Plus you can play around with it as much as you want.
As you can see it goes really well with the yellow and the gold making the duck blue pop up a little bit more! it adds so much texture to it.
Love how you can contrast different shades of the color and play around it. Darker on the walls and lighter on the furniture or maybe the opposite. It depends on the vibe you are going for. Personally I always like a lighter colour on the wall and then darken it up on the furniture because as I said it’s a less of a commitment kind of thing and I always need lighter color on the walls.
I love that I came accross this unique color it’s so rich and beautiful. Tell me what you think about it and if you’ll ever use that around your home! I hope you liked this article and keep checking back, so much more to come!!
I hope you feel as inspired as I am.
Lots of love,
